Panel Track of Experts and Allocators

Last year we greatly expanded the Forum’s program by adding a track of expert and allocator panelists that ran in parallel with the one-on-one meetings session. This has allowed us to open up and expand beyond the one-on-one focus of latter years and be inclusive of a more diverse range of attendees. The topics of our panels will include:

Deal Ring 

We are excited to bring Deal Ring back to the Forum. Deal Ring is our Shark Tank style event where fund managers pitch to a panel of allocators that we call Ringmasters. The managers hope to land a meeting with a Ringmaster to discuss their fund for a potential allocation. The managers will be coached by Jim Rosebush prior to making their pitch. The audience will vote for their favorite manager using our mobile application with the Audience Choice Award going to the winner. Manager participation is limited to 5.

Table Talks

Table Talks is a unique and successful meeting format that leverages the intellect of our community by bringing together thought leaders in the alternative industry to discuss a variety of topics table side.

We have deconstructed the traditional panel format by bringing the panels to the delegates via individual interactive tables. Each table will be co-hosted by an industry expert and an allocator. Learn about your preferred topics and build new relationships. Delegates will select 4 topics from the available selection using our Table Chooser software. Each Table Talk session lasts 30 minutes.

Pre-Scheduled One-on-One Meetings

Pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings has been an important component to the Global Fund Forum since our inaugural event. This year, we have limited participation to 30 managers in order to give the participating funds and allocators the very best experience.

The meetings will be arranged prior to the Forum on the Hedge Connection website using our proprietary scheduling technology.

Using the meeting scheduler, investors and fund managers can research participants, communicate and set up one-on-one meetings based on their unique profiles and objectives.

Meetings will take place in 30 minute increments, with one manager hosting one investor per meeting. On the conference floor, each manager will receive their own Forum Suite for hosting private meetings.
